Twitter

Twitter is a social networking and microblogging website that offers its users an opportunity to send short, 140-character or less messages - aka tweets - to their followers.  After your introduction and use of Twitter, please post your comments to the questions below:
  1. Is Twitter something that you will continue to use?  Why or why not?
  2. How might you use Twitter personally or professionally in your chosen career?  Please give at least two examples for each.
  3. Lastly, how might a a business use Twitter?  Please give three examples.

    1. I do not believe that I will continue to use twitter. I just don't feel inclined to use twitter.
    2.If I were to use twitter proffesionally I would use it to converse with other people in my field of work, and also to find out information on new curriculum. If I were to use twitter personally I would use it to keep up with family I don't see often, and/or I would use it when I go on vacations.
    3. A business could use twitter to advertise their products. Another way is to let people know about new products that are available. Possibly they may also use it to try and look up their employees and/or look up potential employee candidates.

    1. Yes, I would continue to use Twitter. Twitter is a good network to communicate with your friends on, and you could see what your favorite celebrities do during the day!

    2.Well, personally you can just see what your friends are doing, and you could communicate with them fast and easier. And, professionally to see when there is anything going on in your business and, you could talk to people in your business about things faster.

    3. A business may use it for letting people know when certain things are going on, and remind them of those things, letting people know if there are any changes in the schedules or anything, and lastly they could use it to make deals with other businesses and companies.

    Yes twitter is something i will use and continue to because it is addicting.

    I may use twitter to find jobs give out links to my portfolios.

    Twitter may be used for advertising and putting out personal links.

    1. I think I need some time to get used to twitter before I really start to like it.
    2.Personally you can reconnect with old friends and new friends. Professionally you can see new ideas from people in the same profession and get in touch with work people.
    3.A business might follow everyone that works there and tweet upcoming events, new ideas, and look up potential employees.

    1. I will obviously continue to use Twitter since I am a professional at it.

    2.I would use Twitter personally to keep in contact with friends or a family member and to see what celebrities are doing all the time. I would use Twitter for professional use to send direct messages to a co-worker or promote our business.

    3. A business might use Twitter to promote their association, give updates on their latest projects, and speak with employees all around the world.

    1. i think twitter is something i will use in the future because it keeps me updated t what people are doing and shows me what my friends are doing.

    2. A way i could use twitter professionally is if like my boss or my boss kid has a twitter i could keep in touch with them. Also i could follow companies that relate to my job and talk to them on here.

    3. A busniess can use twitter by advertising thier products to people that follow. They may also use it to keep up with thier employees and let them know when to come to work. Lastly, they can give out news alerts. Like posting "now hiring" or something like that

    1. Yes, twitter is something I will use often. Because it’s really easy to use and all of my friends are on it.
    2. If I were to use twitter professionally I would use it to keep in touch with my co-workers. And I will continue to use it personally to keep in touch with my friends and family.
    3. A business could use Twitter to tell workers about meetings, to advertise, or to keep in touch with employees.

    1.) Maybe, it seems like it could be interesting
    2.) i won't. it seems like it could cause too much trouble.
    3.) They could use it to back track workers, updates on info, and have an account for the business so employees could follow.

    2. If I were using twitter professionally I would use it to converse with other emplyees in my job career and it could also be used for advertising products.
    3. A buisness could advertise, share ideas, and get opinions on twitter.

    1. Yes Twitter is something that I will most likely use. I plan to use it because it is a cool website and I am able to talk to my friend and other people in my class if I’m not in class.

    2. I might use my Twitter personally by using it to talk to my friends. I might use it professionally to talk to other people that I work with or my boss on Twitter.

    3. A business might use Twitter to try to find people to work at their business. They might use it to talk to people that work at their business. Thirdly they might use it to sponsor their business.

    1. I dont think that i'll use twitter in the futer. Yet maybe i will, not as much as facebook though. Im not really into sharing every little thing i do.
    2.If I were to use twitter proffesionally I would use it to talk and connect to other people that i work with, and also to find out information on new curriculum and ways to teach. If I were to use twitter personally I'd use it to keep in touch with my family adn friends I don't see much of.
    3. A business could use twitter to let people know about their peoducts, advertise their products, and use it to look up their employees and their backgrounds.

    1.I think i will continue to use twitter because it is very addicting and fun to do.
    2. I would use twitter personally because the field that i would like to be is a professional athlete. I would use it because i would like to post my stats on every game i have. I would use it professionally by posting that i am on my way home from a game
    3.A buisness might use twitter by posting updates about schedule, they could post new rules, or they could also use it too notify people if a game is cancelled or not.

    1) I don't think I will continue to use twitter. Mainly, I just don't think everyone has to know what I'm doing all the time and it's just not their business. Also, because I just don't have the time to use it.
    2) I would use twitter personally to keep in contact with some of my family members who live far away and to keep in touch with some friends who I don’t have classes with. I would use twitter professionally to talk to other colleagues and to possibly check-up on patients.
    3) I think a business might use twitter to keep track of employees, negotiate with other businesses/companies, and to sort of advertise their business.

    1) I think I will continue to use it because I love coming up with interesting quotes and sayings for people to read.
    2) I would use it personally just as I do now to connect with friends and share cool sayings. I would use it professionally to communicate with employers and check out businesses.
    3) Businesses could use it to let people know they are hiring. They could also use it to promote their business. Lastly, they could use it to keep track of their employees and workers.

    1. I would use twitter so people can see what i am doing.

    2. You can say like I did professional athlete and you could say that you did bad or the umps were bad.

    3. To show there scheduel, to see if people want to work for them, or to post whats going on.
